About the Book

Cartooning: The "Basic Skills" is a "How to draw cartoons art/work book" for kids of all ages. It was designed and illustrated by the author as a result of 20 years experience in the arts as a professional artist, illustrator, cartoonist and teacher.

Kids like to draw! What they like to draw mostly are cartoons. Whether it is super heroes, dinosaurs or weird aliens, they just have fun drawing cartoons.

When kids learn the basic skills of art at a young age, it stays with them for life. As their skills improve, so will their confidence. They will amaze their friends and family at their newly discovered talent. They'll even amaze themselves. Just like music, as in all the arts, these basic skills will build character in childhood and enrich their lives as adults.

This book will open the door to a new world of art as they follow the author's simple techniques used by all professional cartoonists. It is a small investment to make for the total joy, entertainment and satisfaction gained regardless of an individual's background. Kids and adults alike will marvel at their accomplishments on the practice pages provided throughout the book.

From the very first page to the last, the author has designed the book as a guide for anyone who wishes to master the basic skills of cartooning.
