About the Book
Huna is a psycho-magico-religion derived from both the New Thought Movement and the Ho'omana Religion of ancient Hawaii. Dr. William Tufts Brigham, the first curator of the Bernice P. Bishop Museum in Honolulu, was initiated into the lineage of the firewalking Kahunas and became the first "Great White Kahuna".
Some years later Brigham initiated Max Freedom Long, who continued his research to discover the secret technologies of ancient and modern day miracles. His research led him back to the Mainland where he authored eight books about "Huna", a term coined to refer to his understanding of how "magic" works.
One of Max Freedom Long's few personal students, Kahuna Lani, as devoted his life to being of Service to those who come to him for Counseling, Spiritual healing, Exorcism, and house Sanctifications.
Kahuna Lani founded the modern day shamanic tribe of Hunians, led by the gods of Huna. Kahuna Lani offers initiation and training enabling members to pray effectively and improve the quality if their lives. Each year the Hunians put on a Firewalk where Kahunas (priests), members, friends and family take off their shoes and socks and walk barefoot on burning fire under the protection of the Hunian gods.
Huna has evolved in the 35 years since Max Freedom Long's Death. In Huna Elevator Conversations Kahuna Lani describes the metaphysics, theology, and practices of today's Hunians.
Written in conversational style, the reader imagines himself or herself to be in an elevator with Kahuna Lani talking about life, death, gods, religion, good and evil, and how a shift in attitude and thinking can change the world.
