THE CHIPMUNK AND THE LEOPARD: The chipmunk makes friends with the Leopard, but refuses to lend him his cutlass to help him fashion a drum. The Leopard uses his claws to create his drum and sets in the sun to dry. Someone plays the drum and uses it to insult the Leopard.
About the Author
Michael Ofori-Mankata was born and educated in Ghana, West Africa. In the USA, he attended Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio. A master story teller, he taught at the acclaimed United Nations International School (UNIS) in New York city. It is said there, "Mr. Michael", as his students and their parents often called him, delighted children and adults alike from all over world, for over thirty years with his stories and folk lore. He now lives and writes in his native Ghana and tells stories in his spare time.
