About the Book
Funny, yet thought provoking, The Mighty Tiger is both a triumph of the human spirit and an encouragement for anyone who suspects he might have a tiger hidden within him waiting to be uncaged. It's an entertaining composite of different topics whose common denominator is the role they played in inspiring and shaping one man's life.
The Mighty Tiger features legendary battles of the AVG Flying Tigers, the achievements of their successor, the Flying Tiger Line, plus true escapes, clever and unusual solutions to difficult problems, aircraft, flying and qualification, interspersed with outrageous escapades.
Review:
"Having spent my first career in the Air Force flying the F4 Phantom and the F16 Falcon, I heard of many storied pathways to the cockpit; but none were more interesting than the unique approach used by Joe Brenner. Joe has shown that a "can do attitude," coupled with hard work, perseverance, and a little luck can produce amazing results. His stories: both of flying escapades and life's other experiences, reflect a special gift for problem solving which he has shared with us in this recollection of his journey. His perceptions of the environment surrounding him are insightful and fun to read. It is truly rewarding to me to know that the heart and ambition shown by the original Flying Tigers also beats within Joe. Read this book; be enlightened and delighted in knowing that an individual with the "Right Stuff" still exists, and you can share in his experiences!"

About the Author
Often the limitations that tie a person down are self-imposed and the result of one's own lack of imagination and courage. Call it selfsabotage. Besides that, impossibility thinkers can conjure up some of the best reasons why, "You'll never make it." But they are continually proven wrong by those who succeed anyway.
Consider Joe Brenner, a resolute, opinionated underdog who by all rights should never have made it. A long time resident of Southern California and, for the most part, self-educated, Brenner was always interested in writing, and in the way thought is expressed. Having a fascination for the printed page, he spent a year working as a printer. Soon after, he sold his first article to Hot Rod Magazine, and then "rested on his laurels" to pursue other interests. Among them were old cars, drag racing, target shooting, skin diving, deep sea fishing, and the bathing beauties of Southern California beaches.
When his interest in writing rekindled, Brenner resolved to disclose the sometimes unconventional thought processes he found useful to beat out thousands of better qualified competitors. These insights are an inspiration for anyone whose life's goals, (in whatever field), may presently seem unattainable.
If only you dare uncage the tiger within you as typewriter mechanic, gas pump jockey, bartender Joe Brenner did, there's no telling where you might wind up. The sky is not the limit!
"YOU'LL NEVER MAKE IT!!!"
Were they right?
Or did Brenner's ideas work?
