About the Book

Designed for heathcare professionals and medical students, Medical Spanish will lead you through a clear and organized, step-by-step process of forming phrases, questions and commands so that you can communicate with Spanish-speaking patients. You will learn the language needed to conduct medical history interviews, investigate common patient ailments and complaints, perform physical examinations, and give simple instructions. The organization of the activities allows the student to continually build on what s/he has learned and to reinforce the basic vocabulary necessary to understand whatever the patient might say.

About the Author

Mrs. LePage-Sidney coordinated and taught beginning medical Spanish at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Her emphasis is on foreign-language pedagogy and methodology.
