About the Author
Marion F. Barnhill is a native of Hampstead, North Carolina. He traveled quite a bit while in the National Guard, Army, and Army Air Force bands and later as an Air Force bomber pilot. He retired from the U.S. Air Force, and from the State of North Carolina Employment Security Commission. He was married to the former Ruby Griffin, with whom he had seven children. He is now married to Belva Henderson Engberson. Between them they have 14 children, 58 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
