This is the journal of one caregiver facing challenges and reshaping her life while she cares for her husband who is enduring this unpredictable disease.

About the Author

Madeline McLean taught elementary school until she chose to be a stay-at-home Mom, raising her five children. During this time, she attended the university and upon earning her M.S. degree, she became head counseler for a United Way Agency recipient working with battered women, children, and at times, the perpetrators. She established her private counselling practice specializing in relationship counseling.

Ms. McLean is now retired and the primary caregiver for her husband of fifty years who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. They live in a small Midwestern town in Ohio.
