About the Book
Harry Street is a leader amongst friends and acquaintances in East Point, Georgia. He learns about life as he faces the death of love ones here and in Germany. He felt the sting of murder charges against him once the war finally ends in 1945. However, in time, great experience comes his ways as he and Helga share their lives together. The great country of America is often blessed by them and others like them.
About the Author
The author, Jim Soesebee, was born in Atlanta in 1919. Educated in the ministry of the Christian church, then as an army chaplain in the German occupation, he remained on reserve duty until retirement as a colonel.
Jim and his wife Bonnie, completed 61 years of marriage before her death in 2004. This first novel shares the life of Harry Street with fellow citizens in the 30's, 40's 50's and 60's.
