About the Book
Today, North America stands as a glittering magnet for millions of outside people. Many of them are fired with a burning desire to come and live in the U.S. or Canada, and some, belonging to one of the world’s major religions whose followers have only too recently in history, suffered the loss of their own power and influence in the world have resorted, out of envy and past grievances to destructive terrorism against the North American property and people. The author of this book, an Asian-born woman, who has lived with the North American people for nearly 40 years, has written an insightful account, not found in any one book, of the many facets of the life and activities of the North American people and has delved into the reasons which have made them the richest and militarily the most powerful people in the world as also what may lie ahead for the new civilization they have created. The author also gives the reader an enchanting account of the story of her own life not only as her credentials for such a work but also to serve as an inspiring beacon for all women of her faith now emerging, with North American initiatives, from their traditional life into modernity.
