About the Book

Pastor Gary Rogers was looking for a way to effectively communicate with his congregation throughout the work and school week. He wanted to go to where they were to encourage and uplift them as they faced everyday challenges. Thus, the email devotions began. These personal letters from a Pastor's Heart served as a way to tell those he prays for every morning how much they are on his heart and mind. These missives are received by the local church family are then sent to family and friends all across the United States and into several foreign countries. This volume contains fifty of these highly readable, easily understood and practical applications of God's word.

Gary is a retired firefighter and spent thirteen years as a youth minister before moving into a senior pastorate role. He draws extensively upon his past experiences to present practical devotions for daily Christian living. He know the importance of loving support and understanding for the teenager and the adult. As a Husband, father and grandfather he knows the stresses and challenges, as well as the joys, a family can face. He wants to warn you of the traps and pitfalls that lie in wait to ruin your day and maybe your life. He is your one man cheering section, urging you on to defeat any adversity, to meet every day with humor and a positive attitude, and to inspire you to accomplish what God has planned for you.

Some of these devotional thoughts are so human and commonplace you will find yourself nodding because you can identify so easily with Pastor Gary's illustration. Some of the antics of "Poppa" Gary's five grandsons will cause you to laugh out loud as he gleans lessons from the little people in his life. About the Author

Gary Rogers ahs served as senior pastor for over 12 years. Previously, he enjoyed serving as youth pastor 13 years, while he was a fireman in Tulsa, OK. He draws extensively upon his past experiences in the 'real' world of work and family to present practical devotions for daily Christian living.

He and his wife Paula live in Coweta, Ok. They have two lovely daughters, one a pastor's wife and the other a teacher who works with youth in her local church, two wonderful son-in-laws and five grandsons, all loving Jesus and serving Him.
