It is a series of thoughts about aspects of teaching and learning handed down rituals and methods that need to be restructured and reconfigured to obtain desired outcomes imagination, creativity, and innovation essentially “thinking out of the box” as a means of solving global problems. It questions the significance of licensure and recommends the replacement of the principal as the school leader with that of a master teacher responsible for the totality of interactive instructional processes. It proposes the implementation of a learning organization environment inspired by a set of core values that direct internal accountability according to a systems analysis structure from needs assessment to implementation with evaluation and revision as may be needed.


About the Author

Daniel J. Dyman, Ed.D., amassed over thirty years of teaching and research experience in secondary and higher education working with both advantaged and disadvantaged learners.

In addition, he had worked for fifteen years in the operations and materials management of an automotive parts manufacturing company. He has firsthand knowledge of quality control processes that are essential for the steady improvement of the teaching and learning interactions.

His systems for instructional design are founded upon a structure of basic analysis methods that identify and quantify the effectiveness and efficiency of essential teaching applications in the classroom. Design applications rely upon fundamental learning theory, teaching skills and techniques, as well as interactive principles. He had been awarded a National Science Foundation Grant for his instructional systems design work that improved learner test scores while covering a greater range of curriculum content and reducing the amount of student time on task.

Over the years he consulted in the development of evaluation methods and accountability strategies, curriculum development, and teaching presentation skills. He is the author of The Priority – The Individual in Education, Revisited and Think and Achieve, a series for personal growth and development.
