About the Book
This is a novel written about the odysseys of a young lad's escape from a strict religious family setting in the old south to the wide-open spaces of the young State of Idaho. The maturation of the young man to the responsibilities of his actions set within a deep-seated work ethic and high moral standards. The responsibilities that are assumed are handled by the young man who applies the reserved strength of his upbringing, the unusual circumstances that result in the union of two true pioneers. A lad from the backwoods of Virginia and a young lady born in Colorado and raised in Idaho finally get together. This union gave rise to a boy that benefited from both parental backgrounds and eventually grew up to make his living as an international airline pilot. The road traveled was destined to go through the minefield; of a police action, collective bargaining agreements, management decision making, politics and human intercourse and are fraught with those experiences that make a full fledged cynic out of most of us.
