About the Book
In 2010, I came to Rangoon, Burma, as a tourist for the first time. A few weeks later, I had returned as an English teacher at an international school. I stayed for two years absorbing life in the classroom and in Burma’s cities and villages. My life has been filled with travel to fascinating places, but my time in Burma was especially well spent in learning the stories and seeing the sights that contained centuries of culture and history. These stories from the heart make me smile and I hope you will find them equally entertaining. Larry Welch
About the Author
Larry Welch traveled extensively while in the United States Navy and as a civilian employee of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Following retirement with time to relax, he decided that life would be most enjoyable as an English teacher in Thailand, Burma, and Vietnam. This is his second book about those experiences. In these adventures, he naturally learned a great deal, seemingly doubling his knowledge of the world with each new teaching assignment. It is that knowledge, the experiences of a seasoned traveler, that he shares in his books. Based in Thailand at the Full Moon Rubber Plantation, he has lived and worked overseas for twenty years.
