About the Book
Disappointment set in when Edwin, a third-grade boy at Sojourner Truth Elementary School, learned his annual Christmas trip to Grandma’s house was canceled. This time of year was filled with family, memorable and laughable stories, delicious food, beautiful decorations, and the burning of the wish lists for Father and Mother Christmas, who visit all the children with gifts at Christmastime. Edwin is saddened by the canceled plans, but a turn of events rekindles his love for the holiday season. This unique, light-hearted story touches the hearts of young and old as the true bearers of gifts and love at Christmas season are revealed.
About the Author
Eric S. Franklin is a native of Roanoke, Virginia, and is one of twelve children. He currently resides in the Washington, DC, area. He is an educator and has taught children in Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, and Baltimore City Public Schools, Maryland. He is an alumnus of Virginia State University.
