Friendship I have found a very nice friend Such a lonely soul is she Wanting someone to love her Nothing seems to workout in the end. Wondering how to approach her Is very hard to do My desire to encourage to encourage her Seems to fade as I get closer. The words I want to say Sound not very assuring But in my heart I want to be there when she needs me. To you, my friend I give you my affection My heart, my imspiation But most of all I give you love. Thank you for sharing your grief And difficulties with me Friendship has brought Great joy to our lives. Sharon Wiegand Happiness I have found happiness In my own heart today I am no longer obligated On words other might say. I am my own person And I have the right To depend solely on myself When everything seems bright. I don't need to be pacified Or to be tolerated by others I do need to solely stand On what, I believe. About the Author
Sharon Wiegand was born in Oklahoma the year 1949. She lived in a rural area outside the small town of Pond Creek and later moved to Tonkawa during her teenage years. She moved to California after getting married at the old age of seventeen. Her first marriage only lasted a few years. She was divorced and remarried in March 1985. This book depicts her marred childhood and her life with her present husband and family. She hopes that these poems are enjoyed by all.
