The last thing I remember is that I was in a bright open space where dozens of-what do you call them-Oh, yeah, people were walking around. Often, one would stop and admire me. Some would actually pick me up and turn me around, but then would put me back where they found me. People came and went a lot during the day. Some stayed for a while to hear stories; some didn’t stay long at all. Today, a beautiful red-haired person picked me up and I heard her whisper: “You would be perfect.” The next thing I know, the man who dusts me and turns my key has grabbed me off the shelf and smiles at me with his kindly old eyes. “You are going to be something special to a child now. No more shelf for you!” Then I am wrapped up tightly in the dark and I’m being tossed about like a plastic bag on the wind! I am so scared!

About the Book
What would it be like to see a day through the eyes of a music box dancer? Well, this is how I imagine it would feel. Tiny Dancer is about a special ballerina music box who finds herself on the adventure of her life when she is bought as a birthday gift for a five-year-old girl named Angel.
About the Author
I am the mother of two wonderful young adults, Cory (age 21) and Randi-Kiana (age 17). When I was young, my father used to take us on long car rides, and to entertain us, he would make up stories using the road signs as characters. He never wrote down any of his stories. Creating stories has always come very easy to me, and I have always enjoyed telling them to the children in my life. I do not want to lose my stories the way we lost my dad’s. In my spare time, I crochet children’s blankets for a local family homeless shelter, ride my 2006 Harley Davidson Dyna Superglide whenever I can, and drive a Ford F250 truck called Big Mama when I can’t. I live with my wonderful husband, two beautiful dogs, three spoiled cats, and a sweet guinea pig in Gresham, Oregon. During the week, I work for a company repairing machinery that produces microchips, paint, play guitar, and write. I have a very full life!
