About the Author
Daughter of Author Ethel Carter, Deidra Rattay was first recognized in 1986 in Who's Who of Poetry. After practicing as a Labor and Delivery nurse for 11 years, Deidra decided to hang up her stethescope and take on a much more challenging role as a stay at home mom. During her countless hours of reading to her children, she noticed that they were much more receptive to rhyming stories so decided to use her talent to create stories for them and about them. Her first book "My Best Friend the Gnome" was written in 2009 and published in 2011. Deidra is constantly inspired by her beautiful children and incredible husband. She is a happy mom, happy wife and is loving life.
