Prologue: Syoho’s Voice Our world will soon be no more. At least, it will not be as we know it now. I fear the days of Fadreama have passed. Already the change—the transformation—has begun. It is like a mighty storm that cannot be stopped. The most we can do is live in the time that is left… From this change, there will be no return. It is…the will of the Power beyond the stars—not mine. My will has become very human and very much like Alice’s. However, the fact remains that I am Syoho and as such, sworn to serve the Power. Though I do not understand the ‘why,’ I will abide. After all, everything changes in its proper course. Life, death and rebirth are but one natural cycle. To stop the cycle is to create a stagnant void—the worst possible state. To prevent such a state, the Power has given much. If the end is upon us, then let it come I say! But let us be remembered for our light, not our darkness! Let us make our end outshine the sun itself! Let us make our end so beautiful as to be worthy of remembrance and…sorrow. But most importantly, let our story give others hope that nothing ever ends, it is only transformed.
