This book is designed to teach children to recognize rhyming words and guide children to ask their fathers or father figures for help in every tough situation in their lives no matter how small or large the problem may be. For our fathers carry wisdom, and they are always willing to help us. “Hear my children the instruction of a father and give attention to know understanding” (Proverbs 4:1).

About the Author

Hi, my name is Renee Guerry Gaskins. I am a South Carolina native. I love my state. I also love children, and I have always enjoyed reading to them and watching them learn. I am a wife of twenty-nine years to David. He is the illustrator of two of my books. I am a daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. I love my family very much and have always enjoyed writing stories. My family is always the inspiration for my stories. Kevin Blue is what my oldest son wanted to name his baby brother, and I have always loved the Holstein cow. When my daughter was younger, she and her brothers came to see me in the hospital, after surgery, and brought me a stuffed Holstein cow. One day, I was cleaning house and came across this stuffed cow. My grandsons had been playing with it earlier that day. This story just came rolling through my mind, and I jotted it down quickly. My oldest grandson came in later that afternoon, and I read it to him from my scratch pad. With great excitement, he loved the story, and I hope you will too. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
