From Loneliness to LOVE

Upon listening to others speak of the pain that has been involved in their healing process and reflecting on my own process that God has been gracefully and faithfully taking me through, I've been given a revelation. God has revealed to me that this process is a LOT like physical open heart surgery and the only anesthetic is God's love and grace. During my healing process it has been physically excruciating at times due to the amount of spiritual and emotional healing that have taken place. See, in order for God to 'give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them, I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh'. In order for God to do this He must first EXTRACT all the old junk that is so deeply embedded in our hearts, spirits, minds, bodies and souls. HE has to tear us open and we have to LET Him take these things that we hold onto so fiercely. Not only does the actual surgery hurt with an agonizing pain, the thought of letting these terrible things go is mortifying to us because, like it or not... they have become our comfort zone, they have become our normal and we don't know how to cope without them. We MUST be willing to let God take us COMPLETELY out of our comfort zones, to extract all the destructive junk (old abusive and destructive mind frames, negative self image, feelings of worthlessness, anger, hatred, bitter grief, selfishness, envy, pride, etc... the list is endless) in our lives and teach us how to rely on HIM.
