About the Book
Ten years have passed since David Baker found his slain classmate near a remote reservoir on prom night. She has never received justice, and now as a sheriff’s deputy in the small north-central Ohio town, he needs to make it right. That case should have been opened and shut, but like life, things can get complicated. From dealing with a new venture and partner to being stonewalled at every turn, does David need to learn to let things go? Maybe it would be easier if he didn’t know the victim or if he hadn’t found the body. He doesn’t think so, and thankfully, neither does his new partner. Join Dave and Paul as they retrace the investigation into a high school girl’s gruesome murder. Was it a past or current lover? There are plenty to choose from, Dale, Jill, and Greg, or was it someone else in this intriguing mystery novel? Can the deputy find justice for Peggy’s mom? What are your theories? It seems like everyone has their own theories and reasons for them. Is it possible to really find the truth after so long? David Baker isn’t sure, but he sure as hell is going to try. Join him as he tries to find out the truth about the murder at the reservoir.
