About the Author
Born in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. After school I went off to the US Navy for twenty years. I was the art director for Pacific Stars and Strips after four years in Vietnam as an artist. Retired from the navy, I was one of the art directors at the Associated Press in New York. I moved to California to work as an illustrator for the San Jose Mercury News. I also lectured at San Jose State for twenty years. I also wrote and illustrated two other children’s book through Trafford Publishing. I won many national awards for my work, including Reubin Award.
