About the Book

Lyrical Gemstones is a collection of Charles Bailey’s most poignant work since 2006. His words convey his unique and often risque views on love, life, sex, and himself. The collection is comprised of nine of his ten series of poetic masterpieces. These words are a lifetime labor of love for him, also well received by his friends, admirers and loved ones. These words are not for the faint of heart; read them at the risk of loving them.

About the Author

Charles Bailey is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also a cancer survivor since 2012. He began undergraduate work at Morehouse College in 2004 and will be attending Georgia State University this fall.

He has won recognition for his writing in past Clark Atlanta University literary competitions since 2007, winning first place in poetry and fiction in 2011. In 2014 Charles was published twice in Morehouse’s Catalyst and also in the inaugural issue Clark Atlanta’s CAU Review.

Charles Bailey also enjoys writing lyrics and fiction, and has been an active writer since he was twelve years old. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and performing at open mic nights in Atlanta.
