After meeting Aggie (Agatha) at the senior home, and we became great friends in a short amount of time. She would tell me stories about when Frank and she were stranded on an island, in 1955 and they lived with the Roslanders. As she got closer to death, she asked me to publish her journal. The only conditions were I would keep her children names a secret. Which I have done! This is the third and fourth journal that Aggie had written. After Frank and her returned to Texas, she started rewriting her journals, because everything she written while she was on the island was in short hand. Frank and her, had added more details in the journals, as they relived their life with the merbeings.

About the Book
This is a story about Agatha and Frank, who have been stranded on an island going on three years. They have been living on Rosland Island, with the merbeings called the Roslander. During this time, they have learned a lot about merbeings. They have discovered there are many different merbeing clans, and they have been lucky enough to meet eight different clans.
About the Author
Jolynn Rose has lived in Oregon most of her life. She traveled with her husband while he was in the US Army, with their two sons. At sixty years old, she found she liked to write. She joined forces with her mother, Lola Smith, who is eighty-one, to write Roslander—The Island of the Merbeings. They enjoyed writing together, so they have written two more books: Roslanders—The Cities under the Sea and Tales of the Merbeing Clans. They are also working on two other books.
