About the Book
Part One is on a 1920’s silk Baron, who and wife are found murdered, perpetrated we later learn by son of the rival bought out by flourishing Baron. Addie who made a name for herself running Church Nursery School, also accumulates spicy sexual adventures with a variety of lovers, some fetishistic, some comical. Man she dearly falls in love with is victim of revenge killing. She in time becomes the adversary of Tough Tony, pseudo Mafia. He threatens gang rape, based on her past & she retaliates by setting fire to his prize warehouses. In his heyday, The Baron had built himself a Castle based on the Hohenzollern he’d seen in Germany. Addie seeks refuge by closing herself and 2 kiddies (one hers) in the Castle, which she sets fire to, as she escapes and is last seen riding a bike down a backyard trail, with a diaphanous scarf that flows in her wake.
About the Author
The Author is an Emeritus Professor of English at Kent State Univ. and has taught a total of 43 years, at among other University of Missouri and Ohio State. He did his BA (with honors) at Missouri Univ., His MA at Yale and Ph.d at Columbia. He had Fulbright Professorships at Copenhagen Univ. (Denmark) and Tuebingen (Germany) and was engaged for Lecture Tour that embraced Coimbra (Portugal), Madrid, Rome, East & West Germany, Luxembourg, and Holland. He had published over 40 articles in major Scholarly journals….
