The September 11, 2001 attack on the Twin towers, the London bombings of July 7, 2005, the Paris attacks of January 7 and November 13, 2015, the San Bernardino attack of December 2, 2015, the many lone-wolf attacks, and every other so called “terrorist” attack in the West, is caused by one, and only one, reason. That reason is the determined attempt by the West to re-conquer the Middle East, which it lost to Islam after the birth of the Arab and Ottoman empires. The West has never been civilized. It has used “civilized” weapons to invade, kill, maim, de-humanize, destroy, colonize and steal the lands, resources, religion, culture, dignity and self-determination of the billions of non-Whites living in the Third World. This barbaric form of colonization and warmongering continues today in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Palestine, Pakistan and many other Muslim countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
The Christian West has been at War with the Muslim Middle East since the birth of Islam. Initially the Muslims defeated the Eastern half of the Roman Empire, centered on Constantinople, and led by Greek-Orthodox Christians. The Western half of the Roman Empire disintegrated into many independent Christian sates held together loosely by the Roman-Catholic Pope in Rome. The Western Roman-Catholic states launched several Crusades to re-conquer the Middle East from the Muslims but failed. With the advent of sea power, Maritime states such as Portugal, Spain, Britain and France, conquered the World outside the Middle East and created a new dominant empire centered on Western Europe and North America.
During the First World War the West co-opted Muslim-Arabs to defeat the Muslim-Turks. The Ottoman Empire had seized control of the Muslim Empire from the Arabs. The Ottoman Empire was defeated but the West reneged on its promise to grant independence to Arab states in the Middle East. Instead it planted a Jewish colony in Palestine to get the support of the Jews to continue its Christian war on Islam. The Arabs have rebelled against this Western colonization. Initially Iran was an ally of the West but rebelled when the US colluded with Britain to steal Iran’s oil. The Iranian revolt against Western colonization created a Shia Islamic State. Iran was a Persian state which had converted to Islam but never fully embraced Arab culture or Arab colonization. The West exploited the ancient Persian/Arab conflict as it had exploited the Arab/Turk conflict during the First World War.
Following World War I the US helped Saudi Arabia to keep its oil from being stolen by Britain or France, the two Western empires which shared the spoils of war following their defeat of the Ottoman Empire. As a result Saudi Arabia became a client state of the US. But Saudi Arabia was led by Sunni Muslims while Iran was led by Shia Muslims. This was of no consequence when both Saudi Arabia and Iran were allies of the US. But the US lost Iran as an ally when it foolishly allowed the British to continue its theft of Iranian oil. In an effort to isolate Iran the US exploited both the old Arab/Persian and the new Sunni/Shia conflict between Iran and Saudi Arabia. In addition, the US supported an Iraqi invasion of Iran during Iraq’s rule by the US supported dictator, Saddam Hussein. When Saddam failed to defeat Iran the US gave Saddam the green light to invade Kuwait and steal its oil to compensate for the cost of Saddam’s failed invasion of Iran. When Saudi Arabia opposed the US backed Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, President George H. Bush turned on America’s ally, Iraq. With the help of the British, the US bombed Iraq back to the stone-age.
The son of George H., President George W. Bush, invaded Iraq in 2003, to begin the destruction of three countries identified as the “Axis of Evil,” Iraq, Iran and North Korea. With the fall of the Soviet Union, the “neo-cons” in the US decided to make the US the only super-power and colonize the entire globe. They will do this by unilaterally invade and change the Regime of every country which was not pro-American. The failure of the US invasion of Iraq led to the creation of al-Qaeda in Iraq, which led to al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, which led to the failed states of Libya, Yemen and Syria. In time, the number of groups resisting Western invasions of Muslim countries multiplied. ISIS is simply the latest and most successful of these many groups resisting US/Western invasions.
The West inherited slavery and a token democracy from the Greeks. It inherited an addiction to colonizing, warmongering and barbarity from Alexander the Great. The American Empire inherited slavery, continuous warmongering, Christianity and pretend republican values from the Roman Empire. It imitated the Roman Empire by restricting the freedoms of those whose countries it invaded and conquered. It honed its propaganda skills to convince many that a slave owning aristocracy could create a freedom loving republic, that nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki was civilized, that committing genocide on millions of First Nations was civilized, that enslaving Africans was civilized, that bombing many countries back to the stone-age is civilized, and that using torture in Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib and secret prisons around the globe is civilized.
This book is the last of my trilogy on the West. Like so many I foolishly thought George W. Bush was the worst American warmonger. He was publicly vilified for invading Iraq under false pretenses. What I did not know was that every American president is a dedicated warmonger. Today President Obama and other Western leaders responds to every failed invasion with another invasion which leads inevitably to a quagmire of wars and failed states such as Afghanistan, Iraq. Libya, Yemen and Syria. Millions of refugees have been created and millions more will be created. Not a single Western leader has even suggested a reversal of this disastrous foreign policy.
