About the Book

The story of Jeepney Love came as an idea I had while visiting Manila and Boracay with family in 2015. It is the story of two jeepneys who meet in Manila and became friends. The vehicles are somewhat humanized and show emotions, humor, and love. Jeepney Love is cleverly illustrated by Vince Raphael Clorina. Jeepney Love celebrates the people and places of the Philippines.

About the Author

Winifred Loving was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. She studied at Newton College of the Sacred Heart and Wheelock College and graduated with a master’s degree in education, specializing in early childhood development, in 1972. After moving to a warm and sunny location, Mrs. Loving taught school for thirty-one years before retiring. Mrs. Loving has two children, three grandchildren, and a husband. She has published two books of poetry and two children’s books. Mrs. Loving loves traveling with her family and lives in the Caribbean on the island of St. Croix.
