This is a picture book story of a little, tired, and hungry, lost pig who is found and taken home by a young boy in need of a pet. Their immediate encounter is, “love at first sight”. The boy lives with his father in an apartment house where large animals are not welcome. Small dogs and cats are O.K., but not pigs. The boy sleeps with the pig in a blanket, but the pig snores so loud the building tenants begin to complain. The pig is driven to the Grandfather’s farm enabling everyone to get some sleep without the loud snoring. Unfortunately, the pig’s loud snoring from within Grandfather’s barn each night causes the chickens to stop laying eggs. Even the moon is irate with the pig’s blustering nightly bad habit. Eventually, the little lost pig finds his way back to his real home on a tug boat where nobody cares how loudly he snores.

About the Book
This is a picture book story of a young boy who finds a lost pig and they become immediate friends. They even share the same bed the first night they meet. The pig, however, has an annoying sleeping habit of snoring very loud. The pig is driven to the grandfather’s farm, enabling everyone to get some sleep without the loud snoring. Unfortunately, the pig’s loud snoring from within the grandfather’s barn each night causes the chicken to stop laying eggs. Eventually, the little lost pig is returned to his real home, a tugboat, where nobody cares how loudly he snores.
About the Author
Gil McCue is a credential California art teacher, illustrator, and professional cartoonist. His career began with his college newspaper, senior year book, and while in the US Navy. He has illustrated and published two newspaper comic strips and is a current member of the “National Cartoonist Soceity”. “The Little Piggy That Snored”, is his third children’s book publication.
