The Midnight Hour (From the Angelina Jolie produced film “Lovesick”) The Clock struck 12 No one could make me go to bed And I had an idea that my memories would soon be fed Bandaids are temporarily my life Tobacco and sugar Now my med To only live in the present Don’t let the now be dead Let answers and keys be known Again and again I said Release the knowledge now Immediately So I can go to bed My room adorned in club style Swinger Candles Music fled Sweet oh man in my bed Mannequin style Fleetwood mac Silent stead Wake up wake up Play the role of my club Listen to my poem be read Play with me till dawn Don’t let your head be like lead Let my mind be your zed July don’t Won’t Hear my song So it fills my heart With empty long Oh be with me in my moment of need Hear my cry you sleepy steed When I am up You are down When I am down You are a clown When will I ever savor the pleasure of endless moments and words that clever So savor the moments now or leave us Fill your lungs with smoke achieve us Pleasure the splendor of time it is sublime for the very few we are together But I haven’t a clue Where are those poetic moments on the beach I preach? Your creativity unleash My mind is like bleach I’m painting with glue of what’s ahead Please oh please don’t make me go to bed

About the Book
Aesha’s first passion on this planet has been poetry. Ever since she was a little girl, she has been picking up awards for her writing, leaving trails of moonbeams, stardust, and truth everywhere she roams. She picked up first place at the Junior Fire Chief Poetry Awards at age six, Creative Writing Award at Mark Twain Junior High School, first place in Kingsborough Community College’s Silver Award, and her poem “The Midnight Hour” was featured in the Angelina Jolie–produced film Lovesick. Aesha’s poetry is mostly inspired by romance and named after friendships and affairs with rock stars and celebrities she has met along the way. After nights on open mic at the renowned Knitting Factory, Aesha went on to become a professional hip-hop recording and live artist. Aside from being an award-winning actress, she is also the author of The Model Body Plan (AeshaWorld.com). Here is a look into her young teenage mind and where she sprung and was created from. This book is composed of a teenager’s written poems, short stories, songs, and raps, including postteen pieces to show progression throughout the years. Some works are fact, while some are fiction. Aesha will leave it to you to decide the truth.
