The purpose of the psych analysis conducted on Jack the Ripper was to investigate Jack the Ripper from the point of view of a behaviorist perspective using a behaviorist, humanistic approach to personality where I sought to provide a more in-depth explanation of Jack the Ripper’s personality. This was done by utilizing two contrasting personality theories that are discussed in the course “Personality of Psychology”. As a research investigator, I conducted this study with the objective of showing through scientific research, what Jack the Ripper was, and what Jack the Ripper was not, by utilizing contrasting perspectives from the personality of psychology as documented by Friedman and Schustack, among other researchers who investigated diseased personality traits in human behavior. A DSM-5 Clinical, Forensic Analysis is provided for Dr. Hannibal Lecter as well to shed light on what a probable diagnosis would be, if he were in fact a real character.
