About the Book
“I Have” (the third book in the series) will remind us how rich we truly are. Often the most valuable things in our possession cannot be bought yet are the things we most easily take for granted. Let yourself be inspired by the positive message of this poem and colorful pictures. There is something everyone can take away from the pages of this book, even if it’s just the simple reminder to never give up on yourself.
About the Author
Marina is a Colorado grown artist who takes inspiration from the mountains, rivers, and seasons of the state she grew up in as well as the ocean and ever changing sky. She loves writing poetry, print making, pottery, and tacos. She is a 2023 graduate of Fort Lewis College in southwest Colorado striving to be a future art teacher. Whimsy and color can be found in most of her pieces including her two previous self-published children’s books. “I Wish” and “I See”. Marina’s first book, “I Wish” began when she was 16 years old in her high school art class and has turned into the series you can share with your family today. Although written for a younger audience, adults can relate to the positive message found in her books as well. The intricate pages are made using school glue and magazine clippings pasted onto a free hand pencil drawing. Each image takes an average, three hours and often uses her art as therapy. She hopes her work inspires the community she shares her creative energy with. This book was made while listening to good music and reruns of her favorite shows.
