During periods of transition, bad things may happen to godly people, but this is no reason to turn away from the call of God upon our lives. One of the greatest dangers during times of transition is aborting our prophetic destiny because of misinterpreting the attacks of the enemy upon our lives. More often than not, the enemy’s onslaught should be an indication that we are closer to seizing our breakthrough than we have ever been. This is why believers and people of faith must learn the benefits of suffering for the cause of Christ while doing the will of God rather than thinking that every problem indicates they missed God! Some believers in Christ who have been raised in “word of faith churches” sometimes suffer from this type of spiritual delusion by leaders who don’t rightly divide the word. Please don’t misunderstand me. I am not against word-of-faith churches, prosperity churches, or any other type of church. However, I am against the spiritual practice of focusing on prosperity scriptures while ignoring those that say we are called to suffer even as Christ suffered. I believe we must take the Bible in its entirety and not pick and choose the scriptures that say what we want to hear. There is a tendency by some proponents of the prosperity message to use a man’s material possessions as evidence of God’s divine approval. At the same time, any form of spiritual turbulence in one’s life is frowned upon as a sign of divine disapproval! This great deception can force us into a compromise during times of difficult transition. During periods of transition, we may be tempted to speak evil of people and places we used to be a part of, but we must resist this temptation. Such unbecoming behavior can abort the prophetic destiny God has for us! Transitions are a part of life. Our efforts to fight against them are futile. Instead, we can learn to embrace them as God’s restraining orders and move forward. Our destiny awaits, and only as we choose to let go of that which we can’t hold will we walk into the purposes of God.

This book is about my personal and challenging experience while navigating through a church split. A split that was rooted in the dissent of the vision for the church’s future. The disunity not only divided the congregation and community but subjected me to unexpected negativity from those I once admired and held in high regard. The evil attacks manifest through harsh judgments, restraining orders, lawsuit, unfounded criticisms, and personal conflicts, turned a place of solace into a battleground of emotions and spiritual turmoil. This book is about how to handle rage, ridicule, and rejection. It gives insight on trusting God through a dark season, staying with the call and seeing how God turn what the enemy meant for bad into good.
