Once you have received your first galley, it is possible that the number of author errors (usually more than 125 galley corrections) is such that it is best for you to supply us with a revised manuscript for the book designer to reformat into a new galley. If the retech is done at your request, there is a charge for the retech service.

Before beginning the retech, you will decide if you prefer to retain the formatting from your original galley or if the changes need to be made to the font style, size, appearance of the chapter starts, trim size, etc. If the initial galley includes a lot of complicated formatting, and making numerous text corrections would be easier than applying the formatting again, you may want to consider offering to do the text corrections (more than 125) for the retech fee. Check with your book designer if you are not sure of what would be preferable.

If you are submitting to do a retech then the price of the retech is reduced when purchased with the resubmission.
