Our lives are shaped by religions. The basic rules societies are guided by were formed through the interpretation of God's will by men. This is my opinion, my version of what God expects from his children using wisdom, logic and intuition. I am not saying to change the way you worship our God. Quite the contrary. You need to continue to teach all of your culture and traditions to your children.
A Buddhist monk from Thailand speaking to me of all the different religions said, "Same story, different teacher."
I believe Our God thinks to himself looking at all His children, "Look at the way they worship their God, who is me since I am the only God there is. They respect and revere my creations. They give their time to me in praise. They give their time to help others. What a wonderful gift they have given to me doing these things in that way. Oh, behold the way this other group prays to me in this fashion. What a wonderful gift they have given to me. Oh, yet see the way that other group views me and acknowledges all I have done for them. What a wonderful gift they have given to me. Oh look yet again the way those followers of my way hear my calling. What a wonderful gift they have given to me. Oh look at all I have created giving gifts to me in all these different ways. I am overwhelmed with joy from all these different beautiful gifts. I accept all of your gifts of love with gratitude. So many gifts. I am so loved by all of you it makes me feel like I am needed and wanted here. Thank you my children for all these gifts of love, I like them all. They are all so beautiful! What a great experience I am having existing in the hearts of men in so many different ways. Please let me keep them all for they are all so beautiful!"
It was never my intention to write a book. I eventually wrote so many stories and poems throughout the years I finally decided to put them to use as a message. I only want to make people stop and think about life. Please open your mind and your hearts for God. Let's not argue about which religion is correct since they all can eventually lead to the same heaven and thus to the same God.
All of this is subject to change and of course misinterpretation.
I challenge you to reexamine your core beliefs as I have.
It is my lifetime passion to help others understand God.
I am so glad to be here. How about you?
All Roads Lead To God
The way to God is any way you can!
I have heard speakers from all religions claim the only way to God is through so and so.
Their teacher is better and is the only one to follow who can lead you to God.
What about the man or woman who is blind and deaf? He cannot learn of this great teacher from any religion.
God will not forsake him for he is good.
God will not forsake her for she is good.
What about the remote villagers removed far from civilization as we know it? They are compassionate and caring to one another. They do not kill, steal or cause harm to any beings. They live in harmony with nature careful not to abuse the environment. They take only what is needed to survive never driven by profit, greed or power. They teach their children to do the same. They know nothing of the outside world or man's religions.
God will not forsake them for they are good.
God will not forsake anyone. There is no division in the mind of God. We are all brothers and sisters. Equal. There are no exceptions. There is no "A" list "B" list system. That is something which man does. All religions have good and bad in them. Man changes things to suit the current agenda and use the books of religion to drive the population to do their bidding right or wrong. They alter the words and misinterpret the true meanings of what God intends for us to do.
There are many paths to God. More ways than anyone can imagine. As many ways as there are beings in the universe. Every being is unique thus every being has it's own special journey to God. Your intent and motivation is what determines if the door to heaven is open for you.
" Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. " This philosophy is found in all religions. Using this basic principle in all decisions will enable us to make the right choices as to how to treat others. What would God do to himself?
God does not exclude those who learn from other teachers. God does not exclude those who teach themselves. We are all welcome into God's home no matter which path we take to get there. If you are good to yourself and good to others then you are good in God's eyes. The door is open to all who do God's will as he would do to himself. God teaches us to be good any way he can!
God will no forsake us for we are good.
God is asked which religion is the best.
His response is, "All of the above!"
It never ends Mark Gregory Washer 6-20-2010
