The time on the Rosland island was wonderful; the Roslanders took us into their clan, and taught us how to survive on the island. It was hard to leave the island, and the Roslanders. I think if it wasn’t for our children and grandchildren we would of never came back. I kept a journal of our time there, but it is time to make new memories with our family. I hope you enjoy our new adventures and maybe even learn a little history as we go along. We do enjoy it when we get the grandkids all to ourselves. With that said, we had all the six grandkids for a week on our boat. They were all wonderful and they enjoy listening to Grandpa and Grandma’s Stories of our island adventures. Earlier, we were talking about going into the dream room on the island. How much we enjoyed going back to our family trips, when we were younger. The dream room is a place we found on Rosland Island. It was an ancient city, which had been covered up by the vegetation. Anyway, this is when our oldest grandson Daniel asked, “Why don’t Grandpa and you go visit those places for real? You promised each other you would!” Of course, Tina our oldest granddaughter had to join in and asked, “Why don’t we all go?” The next thing we know all of the grandkids are cheering and agreeing with her. Grandpa wasn’t any help, he agreed with them.

About the Book
Well, today is the big day. The whole week has been full of checking and double-checking, looking at maps and brochures of all the places we are going to stop. It’s going to take longer than a month. We’ll just have to go with the flow! We will start in Houston, Texas. Our first leg of our adventure is Houston, Texas, to the Redwood Forest National Park in California. On the way back from the Redwood Forest, we will stop in Salina, California; then we’ll head to Bakersfield, California; then over to Las Vegas; Tucson; Deming; New Mexico; Fort Bliss, Texas; San Antonio; and home to Houston, Texas. Come join us on our travels across the USA!
About the Author
Jolynn Rose has lived in Oregon most of her life. She travelled with her husband while he was in the US Army with their two sons. At sixty years old, she found she liked to write. She joined forces with her mother, Lola Smith, who is eighty-one, to write six books: Roslander: The Island of the Merbeings, Roslanders: The Cities under the Sea, Tales of the Merbeings Clans: The Roslanders, Pagons and Imdom Clans, Agatha and Frank’s Story: Stranded on Rosland Island, and The Mystery of Dixie Mountain, which is by Lola Smith. This is their latest book. They are looking forward to many more books they can write together.
