About the Book
Lessons from the Garden is a delightful story/poem about two neighbors who realized a friendship through their love of gardening. Miss Patty and Miss Angie shared the work and play of gardening during the spring, summer, and fall. Although, their hopes of a beautiful spring garden were met with catastrophe, Miss Patty and Miss Angie did learn important gardening lessons from neighbors and a local forest ranger.
About the Author
About the Author/Illustrator: Patricia Clark Smith, author & illustrator of Lessons from the Garden, is a retired Connecticut educator. She enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren; planning family celebrations; vacationing in Baiting Hollow, Long Island; gardening; art; reading; and writing. In addition to Lessons from the Garden, Pat has published seven other children’s books, edited, and illustrated children’s books for local authors, Mollie Wilson and Kelly Smith Papa. Pat is currently Vice President of the Garden Club of Avon.
