The Lighter Side of Poems and Stories

With you Mr. Sun, burning so big and bright, I can play all day, but you always disappear every night. I often wonder where do you go, is it just a mystery to me, does anyone know? I know that the moon comes out and it gives off a glow, but where do you disappear to, I still would like to know. Now, do not get it wrong, I truly enjoy the moon, but always hope and pray that you come back to me soon. October, November, and December are always months to remember, but the months that I love, are April, May, and June because these are the months that you do not disappear, too soon. With you in the sky, burning so bright in your own way, makes me want to go outside and stay all day. They say that your rays are also good for me, they say that you give us plenty of Vitamin D, but the correct amount of you we must learn, because too much of you on our skin, and we just might get a burn. As you sit straight up in the noon day sky, I try to look at you, but your rays seem to burn my eye. The warmth of your rays give off so much heat, they get so hot, that if I needed to, I could cook some meat. Mr. Sun you feel so good, I wish that you could stay out always, I wish that you would. I now know that you must disappear, for each season to change, but am I wrong for my wish, am I to blame? You give life to every plant and seed; you even give life to the most undesirable weeds. From your ever so warm touch in March, April, and May, these are the months that I often wish that it could always stay. In the summer months it seems like, your light is here to stay, it seems like your brightness will never go away. July, August, and September are the hottest months, that I remember. Your rays are so hot that they feel like sharp blades, they are so hot, that they send us scrambling for shade. January and February are the months that your warmth seems so far away, but I still enjoy your brightness you bring, anyway. “Life is so short, learn to enjoy every moment”
